INT 1034 Winter Whale Watching
Winter season has proven to be an exciting and adventurous whale watching experience.
Winter season has proven to be an exciting and adventurous whale watching experience. The most common whales during winter season have been white-beaked dolphins, harbor porpoises, humpback whales and killer whales.
Other whales, such as minke whales, fin whales and blue whales, have also been spotted on our tours over the last few years.
The winter whale watching is different from whale watching in summer time not only because we spot other species, but also the weather can be quite unpredictable.
On rare occasion, we depart from other harbors in the area where weather conditions might be more convenient. It is therefore our experience and flexibility that make winter whale watching possible in Iceland
Tips: Dress warmly and don't be shy to also put on our warm overalls!
