To go into the dark, frozen winter night and observe the spellbinding display of color and light known as the Aurora Borealis is an otherworldly experience which few people are lucky enough to behold.

On this tour we pick you up at your accommodation in Akureyri and drive out to the countryside or up to the mountains, away from electric glow and city sounds and search for the Northern Lights.

Astronomers are predicting the 2012/13 Northern Lights viewing season to be the most active in 50 years and there are few better places to see them than on the Northern Latitudes around the charming town of Akureyri.

This tour is also available as an evening Super Jeep tour, including 3 course local countryside dinner and visit to Myvatn Nature Baths.
